“In a certain way we are all the same. Our defects and our qualities are what make us different from one another, and the prejudices and preconceptions are what distance us from the perception of this obvious and undeniable reality.” ~Jean-Paul Malfatti
“In un certo modo siamo tutti uguali. Sono i nostri difetti e le nostre qualità che ci fanno diversi dagli altri, e sono i pregiudizi ed i preconcetti che ci distanziano dalla percezione di questa evidente ed innegabile realtà.” ~Jean-Paul Malfatti
My wife and I played this song after being announced as Mr. and Mrs. so and so after we got married. It got a great laugh and helped bring together both sides of the aisles and exposed the pink elephant in the room.
On this day in 1982 {May 29th} Wings’ “Tug of War” reached #1 {for 3 weeks} on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums charts…
The album featured “Ebony & Ivory” with Stevie Wonder {#1 for 7 weeks} and the single “Tug of War” {peaked at #10}…
Asia’s debut album “Asia” had been #1 for 2 weeks, then Wings took over for 3 weeks, but “Asia” regained the top spot for 7 more weeks…
I don’t see why people think this is a terrible song. I think it may be one of Paul’s best. It has a strong message and a beautiful melody. But we all have our opinions. And knowing so, we can “live together in perfect harmony.”
The song okay it has a feel good factor about it. Dont take everything so seriously we know that its sentiment can never be a reality just like Lennons Imagine can’t. But we can dream that people would realize we are here for a relatively short time. Lets try and get along a bit better thats all.
